The EAGLE series X-ray inspection systems are a family of X-ray units designed to inspect food and manufactured goods for foreign contamination and product defects.

Eagle series X-ray inspection system:

- Enables packaging line operators to work with the confidence that they are providing the best possible product for their customers.

- It is a state-of-the-art, high-speed and fully automated inspection system.

- It consists of a cabinet containing modular electronic and mechanical components capable of capturing and processing digital images of products passing through the unit’s detection area.

X-rays pass through a product tunnel containing a conveyor system that transports the product to be inspected. Beneath the product tunnel is a linear array of X-ray-sensitive diodes that detect the X-ray emission transmitted through the product.

Defects that can be monitored may include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Contaminants such as stone, metal, glass, certain plastics, etc.

- Product defects, such as lumps, aggregates, etc.

- Missing product.

- Loose filling.

- Inadequate quantity of a subcomponent (such as raisins in cereals).

- Deformed products.
